Lighthouse Health Foods was founded in 2015 with a simple mission: to make healthy living accessible, affordable, and local. What began as a small, family-owned shop has grown into two welcoming locations in Selinsgrove, PA and Newport, PA — and now, our brand-new online store.

Family-owned and operated by Josh and Judith Mertz, Lighthouse Health Foods has always been about more than just products on a shelf. From the beginning, we’ve focused on creating a place where people can find trustworthy guidance, discover natural remedies, and enjoy wholesome foods that support everyday wellness.
By buying in bulk and partnering with local farms and businesses, we’re able to pass savings directly on to our customers — while also strengthening our community.

Josh Mertz is passionate about helping people. With encyclopedic knowledge of vitamins and natural treatments, Josh is the one customers turn to when they have questions. He researches options, shares what’s working for others, and takes the time to help each person find the right fit for their needs. If you’re ever in the store and need advice, Josh is the one to ask.
Judith Mertz keeps the business running and brings a cheerful presence to every corner of Lighthouse. Whether she’s managing day-to-day operations or greeting customers in-store, Judith’s warmth and dedication are at the heart of everything we do.
